Kathmandu: The online application form for new driving license has been restricted during working hour; 10 am to 5 pm.
The software failed to handle the excessive flow of online application during working hour. Thus the Department of Transportation Management has decided to disable the system during working hour for the online application. However the system will remain for next few days only. The department has stated that the rule will be changed after upgrading the system. After that onwards the online application will be open for 24 hours.
This situation has come up as the offices have to provide services in the afternoon system of the department.
According to the department, about 700,000 people are waiting for the exam by filling the application form for the license.
