Israeli Ambassador assures direct flight between Nepal and Israel

Kathmandu: Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder on Monday paid a courtesy call on Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Bahadur Ale. The meeting focused on relations between the two countries, mutual cooperation and collaboration.

During a meeting at the Ministry, Ambassador Goder assured that the Israeli government would take the initiative for direct flights between Israel and Kathmandu. He also said that the Israeli government was willing to operate direct flights between Israel and Bhairahawa.

During the meeting with Minister Ale, Ambassador Goder said that there is a plan to take at least one thousand Nepali workers to Israel within two weeks and for that he is willing to lease the A330 aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation. Similarly, Ambassador Goder expressed concern over the unequal fares of foreigners and Nepalis in Nepal’s domestic flights.

Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale told Ambassador Godar that they were ready for direct air link between Nepal and Israel.

Minister Ale also assured Ambassador Goder that he would take initiative to reduce the unequal fares of foreigners and Nepalis in Nepal’s domestic flights. During the meeting, Ambassador Goder also invited Minister Ale to be the chief guest at a 50-minute Israeli film screening program using the technology of watching movies on 50 big screens in a car for the first time in Nepal.
