On duty immigration officers will not allow to use mobile

Kathmandu: Employees of the Immigration Office at Tribhuvan Airport have been banned from using mobile phones during office hours.

Immigration Office at the Tribhuvan International Airport has issued a circulation directing the staff working at Arrival and Departure areas to use only landline and official mobile during office hours.

In case of urgent work, officers must havesenior immigration officer’s approval. Employees have to keep all personal mobiles in their lockers.

The office also informed that the administration has decided to provide official SIM and mobile to the employees and the employees other than the immigration desk officer can use personal and government phones to regulate the immigration process.
