Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has honored Santosh Shah, the runner-up of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals UK-2020.
On Tuesday, the Nepal Tourism Board honored Santosh Shah, runner-up of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals UK-2020, for introducing Nepal to the world through Nepali food. Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yadav Prasad Koirala, thanked Santosh for his contribution in introducing Nepali food to the international community.
Koirala said that Nepali food needs to be internationalized by branding it in all hotels and restaurants and should also be registered with UNESCO. Chef Shah said that he tried to introduce Nepal to the world. He expressed happiness over the Nepali culture of respecting Chef. Shah says that Nepal can be much better if the food sector is given priority.
