Kathmandu: Dean Thompson, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to Nepal, presented his certificate of appointment to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Friday.
After handing over the credentials to the President, Thompson said in a statement that it was an honor for him to serve as the American ambassador to Nepal.
Ambassador Thompson mentioned that the present moment is an important moment for the two countries.
He further stated that he is looking to working with all Nepalis to address the most important issues of our time.
In the coming years, the United States will continue to support Nepal in achieving its goals of sustainable and inclusive economic development, Thompson said.
