Kathmandu: The rain-affected Netherlands and Malaysia’s T20 match ended in a draw. Meanwhile, Nepal and the Netherlands have reached the final of the triangular T20 series.
After losing the toss at the Kirtipur Cricket Ground, the Netherlands scored 68 runs in 10.2 overs. In a game shortened to 13 overs after the rainfall, the Netherlands lost 4 wickets and scored 107 runs and based on DL Medath, Malaysia got a target of 120 runs.
Chasing the target of 121 runs, Malaysia scored 56 runs in 6 overs and the game was stopped again. After the rain stopped, the game was shortened to 10 overs and Malaysia got a new target of 92 runs.
The Netherlands with 5 points from 4 games reached the final while the home team Nepal with 4 points also managed to make it to the last two before the last game.
Nepal will play Malaysia in the final match of the league on Thursday. The final game will be on Saturday.
