Kathmandu: In the last 24 hours, an additional 2,351 people have been confirmed infected with the corona virus (Covid-19).
A total of 8,884 samples of PCR were tested in laboratories across the country, testing 2220 and 803 antigens, and 131 were infected. At the same time, the total number of infected people has reached 289,787. Of them, 10,582 are actively infected.
Of the newly infected people added on Wednesday, 1,051 are from Kathmandu Valley. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, corona infection has been confirmed in 786 people in Kathmandu, 181 in Lalitpur and 84 in Bhaktapur.
Outside the Kathmandu Valley, 225 people have been confirmed infected in Banke, 124 in Rupandehi, 88 in Kaski, 81 in Parsa, 74 in Dang, 53 in Baglung and 52 in Surkhet.
Meanwhile, another 10 people have died from corona infection, according to the ministry. At the same time, the death toll has reached 3112.
