Kathmandu: Nepal’s first female computer engineer Gunakeshari Pradhan has been honored with ‘Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award 2021’.
Pradhan won the award in the category of Women Icon ICT Award, which honors women who have contributed to ICT sector.
Pradhan has been contributing to the ICT sector of Nepal continuously for 35 years. Pradhan, who has held important positions in Nepal Telecom and government organizations for about 31 years, is currently leading Women in IT organisation.
Pradhan started her career as a computer engineer at Nepal Telecom and worked as a spokesperson and director.
