Kathmandu: Nepali Congress party has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane. This demand was raised during today’s parliamentary session, which began with strong opposition from Congress lawmakers.
As the session commenced, Congress members voiced their dissent, prompting the Speaker to allocate time for Congress MP Deepak Giri to speak.
Expressing their stance, Giri reiterated the party’s call for the resignation of Home Minister Lamichhane. This demand comes in the wake of recent incidents of fraud involving individuals associated with Lamichhane, even though he has faced allegations in Pokhara as well.
The Nepali Congress has raised objections, asserting that despite Lamichhane’s resignation from the Home Ministry, he should still face investigation over allegations against him.
