Kathmandu: Nepal’s international airlines are now able to operate ‘Onboard Duty Paid Shop’ during flights.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has issued a procedure for operating on-board duty paid shops with the aim of facilitating the operation of such shops inside the aircraft during the flight.
According to this procedure, the airline company can operate a shop inside the aircraft with permission.
The Ministry believes that this will increase the additional income of the airline, make the airline more efficient, strong and sustainable and also help in revenue collection and foreign exchange earning.
Nepal Airlines, Himalaya Airlines and Buddha Air are operating regular international flights so far from Nepal.
