Nepalese will get covid-19 vaccine soon after it is certified: Health Minister

Kathmandu: The government has said that it is ready to use the vaccine against COVID-19 so that it can be used by Nepali citizens as soon as it is released in the market.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of World Biological Awareness Week, Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal said that all preparations have been made to bring vaccine to Nepal as soon as it becomes available to the people of other countries.

Minister for Health, Dhakal said that the government has moved ahead by amending the law for the management and easy availability of food. He said that the law has been amended through an ordinance to make the imports easier so that Nepali citizens can use them as soon as they come to the market.

He said, “Drugs have been made legally easy to import from the ordinance to facilitate drug management and availability.” The legal path has been opened and facilitated so that the vaccine can be used easily and there is no legal hassle. Initiatives will be taken by the government and non-government to ensure that Nepali citizens can use the vaccine as soon as other countries use it on their citizens.
