Nepal to host first ever coffee conference

Kathmandu: With the aim of promoting the production, consumption and export of Nepali coffee, the National Coffee Conference is going to be held for the first time in Nepal.

The conference will be held from June 17-20 in Kathmandu.

The Nepal Coffee Traders Federation is conducting the conference and exhibition in collaboration with the International Trade Center, National Tea and Coffee Development Board, Nepal Tourism Board, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and European Union.

The Federation informed that this conference and exhibition is going to be organized for the first time in Nepal to find ways to strengthen the overall value chain of the region and to identify opportunities, even though the demand for Nepali coffee is increasing widely in the domestic and foreign markets.

The purpose of the conference is to promote the internal and external markets, to discuss the necessary policy and legal issues for the promotion of coffee sector development, and to showcase the goods and services of entrepreneurs.
