Nepal records 5 consecutive wins in tri-nation ODI series

Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 4 wickets in the tri-nation ODI series under ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

Nepal met the target of 204 runs given by PNG by losing 6 wickets in 45 overs of 2 balls.

Kushal Bhurtel scored the highest 56 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Asif Sheikh scored 44 runs.

On the bowling side, PNG’s Asad Bhala took 3 wickets.

Earlier, PNG, who lost the toss and batted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, scored 203 runs by losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.

Nepal has made a record of 5 consecutive victories in ODI cricket by winning the fifth consecutive victory in League-2.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Scotland and Namibia in 2/2 matches in the home ground.

After this victory, Nepal is at the sixth position in the table with 28 points in 29 games.
