Kathmandu: Nepal’s T-20 international rankings have improved by one place. In the new rankings updated by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday, Nepal has improved one place to 14th position.
Nepal, who won the title by defeating the Netherlands by 142 runs in the triangular T-20 series held on Saturday, has also improved its ranking. According to the new rankings updated by the ICC, Nepal has 5,113 points and 183 rating points in 28 games.
Scotland, which was earlier ahead of Nepal, has dropped to 15th position. The UAE ranks 13th among the associate nations ahead of Nepal.
After Nepal, Papua New Guinea is ranked 16th, Netherlands 17th, Oman 18th, Namibia 19th and Singapore 20th.
England remain at the top of the World Twenty20 rankings, followed by India, Australia and Pakistan. New Zealand is fifth, South Africa is sixth, Afghanistan is seventh, West Indies is eighth, Sri Lanka is ninth, Bangladesh is tenth, Zimbabwe is 11th and Ireland is 12th.
