Kathmandu: In a significant diplomatic move, the government of Nepal has officially declared its decision to establish a new embassy in Portugal, further expanding its global presence.
This decision aligns with the government’s strategic initiative to open a residential embassy in the European country, signaling strengthened bilateral ties. Notably, Shanil Nepal has been recommended as the ambassador for this pivotal role.
As of now, Nepal boasts a total of 40 diplomatic missions worldwide, comprising 30 residential embassies, three permanent missions, and seven consulate generals across various countries.
This move underscores Nepal’s commitment to fostering international relations and engagement on a global scale.
