Kathmandu: National flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has published a new schedule for domestic flights. According to NAC, domestic flights are scheduled for the month of February.
Accordingly, the company will operate Kathmandu and Nepalgunj flight as base airports to various domestic destinations. Nepal Airlines is currently flying only to remote airports.
The company has only two twin-engined aircraft capable of flying on domestic flights. That is why only private companies are flying at trunk routes.
According to the schedule, flights from Kathmandu to Bhojpur will be operated five days a week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
There will be five flights from Kathmandu to Dang on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Kathmandu-Taplejung route will have three flights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Similarly, the NAC will fly on the Kathmandu-Khanidanda route on Wednesday and Saturday.
Kathmandu-Rukum is scheduled to fly on Sunday and Thursday, Kathmandu-Thamkharka on Wednesday and Thursday, Kathmandu-Phaplu on Sunday. There will be flights from Nepalgunj to Rukum on Monday and Thursday, Dolpa, Jumla, and Sanphebagar on Sunday. According to the company, flights from Nepalgunj to Simkot and Talcha will be operated on Monday and to Bajura on Thursday.
