National Human Rights Commission commence investigation over Kalikot bomb blast incident

Kathmandu: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has started investigation over the incident of bomb blast in Kalikot that killed two girls.

The commission issued a statement on Tuesday and said that it has sent a team for on-site monitoring of the incident.

Two girls were killed and three other children were injured in a bomb blast that took place on October 29 in Tilagufa Municipality 10 of Kalikot.

The Commission has requested to take such cases sensitively and investigate them independently and impartially and bring the culprits to justice.

It has also requested the government and related agencies to provide relief and compensation to the victims, provide free and effective treatment for injured children, and ensure an environment where such incidents do not recur in the future.
