NAC extends compassionate gesture with free air service for cancer patients

Kathmandu: In a commendable move, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has taken a compassionate step towards supporting cancer patients by offering free air services. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the NAC is providing a 100% discount on airfare for cancer patients and a 50% discount for their accompanying family members, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on the families of the affected individuals.

To avail of this generous initiative, cancer patients must present a doctor’s report and a recommendation from the Nepal Cancer Relief Society. This ensures that the assistance is directed to those genuinely in need of support.

In the year 2023 alone, the NAC reported that a significant number of individuals, totaling 770, benefited from the free air service extended on the Kathmandu-Delhi-Kathmandu route. This initiative reflects NAC’s commitment to its CSR goals, demonstrating the positive impact aviation can have on the lives of those facing medical challenges.
