Manchester United wins UEFA title

Kathmandu: English Premier League club Manchester City has won the UEFA Champions League title for the first time in history.

City won the third title of the season with a one-nil win over the Italian club Inter Milan.

City, which is also the English Premier League champion, also won the FA Cup earlier. City have become only the second English club to win three major titles in one season.

Earlier, in 1999, Manchester United held a record by lifting three titles including the European trophy for the first time.

This is the third Champions League title for coach Pep Guardiola. Before that, he won the European title twice in 2009 and 2011 from the Catalan club Barcelona as a coach.

Guardiwala also became the first coach to win the treble with two European titles.
