Kathmandu: Machhindra Footall Club defeated Satdobato Youth Club 1-0 in the decisive goal of Azerbaijani player Nurlan Navrujav to win the title of Shaheed Smarak A Division League while two games are still to be conducted.
Defending champions Machhindra defended the league title two games ago after defeating Satdobato.
With this victory, Machhindra has added 29 points from 11 games. Manang, which has played one game less, is in the second position with 20 points. As Machhindra has lost to Manang before, Machhindra is ahead in head to head and even if Manang wins the remaining three games, it won’t be sufficient to win over Machhindra.
