Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is going to start traffic awareness program from community schools.
This decision was taken by a meeting of officers including the head of the Valley Traffic Police Office and Deputy Inspector General of Police Mira Chaudhary in the office of the Metropolitan Deputy Chief Sunita Dangol on Monday.
In the first phase of the awareness program, classes will be held in community schools. After that, education and knowledge about traffic volunteers will be given to older class students based on interest and age.
In this way, the students who have taken theoretical classes will be taught practical skills on the road as volunteers.
