Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has brought a new rule for the landloards.
Now onwards landlords of KMC are mandatory to give notice of the house being rented out and that the house is vacant within seven days.
The metropolis has issued the ‘House Rental Management Directory’ that stats landloards should make three copies of the written agreement of house rental and one copy should be provided to KMC.
One of the remaining two copies shall be kept by the contracting party. If not informed that the house is vacant, the lessee has to pay the house maintenance tax for that period.
