KMC announces to halt screening of Hindi movies from Monday

Kathmandu: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Balendra Shah, has announced that Indian movies will not be screened in theaters within the city from tomorrow, Monday.

Mayor Shah has said that the objectionable message that Janaki is an Indian daughter included in the Indian movie ‘AadiPurush’ has not been removed from the original part of the movie, as it has not been removed even today, Mayor Shah has said that the kmc will halt all Indian movies in any hall of Kathmandu metropolis from tomorrow.

Shah says that there is no doubt that it is the first duty of every government, government agency, non-governmental sector and Nepalese to protect the national interest by keeping Nepal’s freedom, independence and self-respect intact.
