Kathmandu: In an anticipated diplomatic move, the Foreign Minister of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa, is set to arrive in Nepal on Sunday, marking a significant step in bolstering ties between the two nations.
Minister Kamikawa, addressing a press conference, outlined her mission, emphasizing her commitment to fostering diplomatic relations that serve as a bridge between the Global South and like-minded nations, including the influential Group of Seven (G7) countries. This statement, issued by the Japanese Foreign Ministry, underscores Japan’s proactive stance in global diplomacy.
Her visit to Nepal is part of a broader diplomatic itinerary, spanning multiple nations. Minister Kamikawa’s tour commenced on April 26 and is scheduled to continue until May 6, encompassing stops in Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, France, Sri Lanka, and culminating with her arrival in Nepal.
