Kathmandu: Asian country Japan has entered the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after eight years.
In the match held today, Japan defeated Norway, which was seen as a contender for the title, by 3-1 goals.
With today’s victory, Japan, who scored 14 goals in the World Cup, sent the 1995 winner Norway home.
2015 runner-up Japan was eliminated from the pre-quarterfinals four years ago.
Now the winner of 2011, Japan, will play the match with Sweden and America in the quarterfinals.
