Internet traffic hit a new record during Nepal-India football match

Kathmandu: Internal internet bandwidth consumption within Nepal has set a new record. According to Internet Exchange Nepal, internet traffic has set a new record while Nepal is playing in a SAAF championship with India on Sunday night.

The match between Nepal and India broke the record set by Internet Traffic (NPIX) during the Exchange’s EuroCup-2020.

The new record was set on June 29 between France and Switzerland and England and Germany in the round of the Euro Cup. Internet consumption on that day had reached 49.889 GB per second.

Internet traffic reached 54.440 gigabits per second after the first half of the game against India. The record is bandwidth consumption except for those who have come from abroad and those who have gone abroad from Nepal.

Local bandwidth consumption has increased as various apps in Nepal provide video services.
