India bans sugar export

Kathmandu: India has decided to ban sugar exports from its country with effect from June 1.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade of India has decided to ban the export of sugar and all its raw materials from June 1 to October 31 (four months).

Following the deterioration of the international supply chain due to the Russia-Ukrainian war, various countries are deciding to buy food grains to protect their countries from its effects.
