Kathmandu: Balendra Sah has been elected as the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Independent candidate Sah has been elected as the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis with 61,767 votes.
Sah’s nearest rival Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh got 38,341 votes. CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit got 38,117 votes.
Meanwhile, CPN-UML candidate Sunita Dangol has been elected as deputy mayor of KMC. She got 68, 612 votes while her nearest rival Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN-Samajwadi got 23,806 votes.
