Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi has paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Balkrishna Khand.
In the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs today, Friday, there was a discussion about strengthening the mutual relations between the two countries, according to the Secretariat of the Minister of Home Affairs.
In the meeting, Home Minister Khand made it clear that Nepal is in favor of the One China policy. He also said that Nepal is sticking to the non-aligned foreign policy.
Home Minister Khan said that peace with other neighboring countries and China is in Nepal’s interest.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yanqi said that China is ready to help in the management of disasters in Nepal.
Ambassador Yanqi informed that China expressed its happiness that the government announced the election of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.
