Kathmandu: The Election Commission has called for party registration for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections.
According to the decision of the commission’s meeting held today on Friday to call for party registration, the commission has given 10 days time to call for party registration starting from Sunday.
So far, 116 political parties have been registered with the Election Commission. According to the Commission, there is a provision for parties registered with the Commission to re-register for the purpose of elections.
The government has set the date for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections on Thursday, 20th of November.
With the announcement of the date of the election, the commission said that the preparation for the election has been intensified.
