Hearing on Home Minister Lamichhane’s citizenship issue postponed

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s citizenship and passport-related hearings have been postponed.

The Supreme Court has said that the hearing, which started today with priority in the constitutional bench, has not been completed.

The debate on the case will end on Friday. Today, senior advocates Raman Karna, Surendra Bhandari and advocates Amrit Kharel and Nikita Dhungana argued on behalf of the writ petitioner.

After lunch, co-lawyer Sanjeev Raj Regmi argued on behalf of the government and Ravi Lamichhane.
