Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has sent free paracetamol to the government hospitals inside the Kathmandu valley. Issuing a press statement today the ministry said that paracetamol has been made available for free distribution to various health institutions by facilitating the supply of paracetamol.
Similarly, the ministry also said that required arrangement has been made to facilitate the production and supply of paracetamol to private health institutions, pharmacies, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Due to dengue infection, there is currently a shortage of paracetamol in the market.
Dengue, which is the most prevalent in Kathmandu Valley, has reached 77 districts. According to the data of the ministry, 28 thousand people have been infected and 36 people have died due to dengue so far.
