Health ministry directs all hospitals to public treatment fees within a week

Kathmandu: The government has instructed hospitals to make public the details of treatment fees.

The Ministry of Health and Population issued a notice on Tuesday directing all government, private and community hospitals to make public the amount required for the treatment of patients within seven days.

Similarly, the details of the price list have been asked to be sent to the body permitting the operation of the health institution.

During the Corona epidemic, patients were charged exorbitant fees for treatment, exorbitant oxygen charges, unnecessary tests, financial burdens, treatment supplies, and over-the-counter medications, the ministry said.
