Kathmandu: The house of Mahakabi (Great Poet) Laxmi Prasad Devkota has been transformed into Kabikunja Museum.
Kavikunj was established as a museum by Nepal Pragya Pratishthan by building a four storied house with about one ropani and one dam of land.
The museum was constructed after demolishing the dilapidated house of Mahakavi Devkota and building it in its original form. According to the Foundation, it cost around Rs 71.1 milion to build the museum.
The museum includes collection of items including Devkota’s clothes, manuscripts and published books.
