Govt to allow private sector to bring corona vaccine

Kathmandu: The government is preparing to allow private companies to bring the corona vaccine. Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi informed that the decision will be taken by the cabinet with certain criteria.

Speaking at a press conference at the ministry on Thursday, Minister Tripathi said, “The government will not buy the vaccines brought by private companies. It can be given for personal use only. ‘

He said that the vaccine brought by the government will be free of cost. According to the latest decision of the cabinet, two million doses of corona vaccine will arrive within two weeks. The government has decided to buy the corona vaccine ‘Covishield’ produced by the Serum Institute of India at a rate of four US dollars per dose.
