Govt begins procurement process for five million more vaccines

Kathmandu: The government has started the process to procure additional five million doses of corona vaccine.

The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that the process for procurement of additional vaccines has already started in the sub-committee under the Education and Health Committee of the Parliament.
So far, Nepal has purchased two million doses of vaccine through G2G process from India.
The first consignment of one million doses has been brought to Nepal, while the remaining one million doses are yet to arrive.

India has announced one million doses and China has announced 800,000 doses of corona vaccine to provide to Nepal.

The ministry has informed that the next phase of the vaccination campaign will be launched by purchasing the remaining vaccines and collecting 11 million doses of vaccines.
