Govt allows district courts to look after cybercrime cases

Kathmandu: The government has authorized the district courts to look after cases of cyber crime and banking offences.

Rekha Sharma, Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, while announcing the decision of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday, said that the government has given the district courts the right to take action on cyber crimes and banking frauds.

Prior to this, only Kathmandu District Court was looking after the cyber crime cases.
