Euro Cup: Denmark beat Russia to reach final 16

Kathmandu: Despite losing the first two games, Denmark has entered the knockout stage of Euro Cup 2020 with a sensational victory over Russia.

Denmark reached the final 16 as runner-up in Group B after beating Russia 4-1 on Monday night.

Mikkel Damsgaard, Joseph Paulsen, Andreas Christensen and Joachim Muhle all scored to give Denmark the victory at the Parken Stadium.

After this victory, Denmark became the runner-up of Group B with three points from three games. Although Finland and Russia have the same three points, Denmark is ahead in goal difference.

Denmark lost 1-0 to Finland in the first match and 2-1 to Belgium in the second match.

Russia, who lost to Denmark, are in last place and are out of the group stage.

Russia lost 3-0 to Belgium in the first match and Finland 1-0 in the second match.
