Environment Minister commits to make plastic free Nepal

Kathmandu: Forest and Environment Minister Pradeep Yadav has committed to make Nepal plastic free country. Addressing the South Asia Cooperative Environment Program (SASOP) to make rivers and seas in South Asian countries free from plastic pollution, he said that he is ready to make the country plastic free.

He also said that the plastic pollution is one of the biggest problems at present, and one should not delay in finding a solution to it.

He informed that he has instructed to strictly implement the ban on plastic thinner than 40 microns.

Minister Yadav claimed that a lot of work has been started in a short time since he became the minister to make Nepal free from plastic pollution.
