Kathmandu: The final results of 581 municipalities have been made public so far.
As per the Election Commission, the Nepali Congress has won 253 seats and is in the first place. Congress has won mayors of 86 municipalities and chairpersons of 167 rural municipalities.
Similarly, the Nepali Congress has won 236 posts including deputy mayor of the municipality and vice-chairman of the rural municipality.
UML is still in second place. UML has so far won major posts in 162 municipalities, including mayors of 53 municipalities and chairpersons of 100 rural municipalities.
Similarly, UML has won 175 posts including deputy mayor of the municipality and vice-chairman of the rural municipality.
