Airport staff not getting two-day public holiday

Kathmandu: The government has stated that new rule public holidays two days a week will not imply on airport staffer.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has made it a rule that employees working in shifts at airports should be on duty for six days as previously.

According to the CAAN, it has been decided to give leave to employees working from 10 am to 5 pm (general duty) only two days a week. However, the employees working in shifts have to work 6 days a week.

This will be implented for staffers of international airports only. Currently the country is operating two international airport; Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport.
