Kathmandu: Nepal Doctors Association and Association of Private Health Institutions Nepal (AFIN) have increased the consultation service fees of doctors with effect from today.
The doctor’s consultation fee has been increased by 14 percent from the previous fee with effect from today.
The association has increased the doctor’s consultation fee after two years. The fees are reviewed and determined by the Ministry of Health and Population, the fees have been increased based on the recommendations of the Inflation and Fees Advisory Committee of Nepal Rastra Bank.
With this, new consultation fee has been fixed from minimum Rs. 420 to maxmimum Rs. 940.
According to the new fees, the fees of MBBS and BDS level doctors with five years of experience have been set at 420 and Rs. 515 for those with more than 5 years of experience.
Similarly, now the fee is Rs. 590 and above for diploma level doctors with five years of experience and Rs. 670 for MD, MS, MDS level doctors with five years of experience and Rs. 800 for those with more than five years of experience.
Similarly, DM/MCH level doctors with experience up to five years, Rs. 880, MD/MCH level doctors with more than five years experience, Rs. 940 and MD/MS/MDS doctors with more than 10 years experience, Rs. 940 fees have been determined.
