Kathmandu: A complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission demanding the dissolution of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Rajkumar Poudel from Sindhuli, has submitted an application to the commission demanding the cancellation of the party led by Rabi Lamichhane.
The petitioner claims that since Rabi Lamichhane’s citizenship has been declared illegal by the Supreme Court, the party established using that citizenship should also be abolished.
Earlier, Paudel and others filed a writ in the Supreme Court in the case of Rabi Lamichhane’s citizenship dispute.
Similarly, Paudel had previously submitted a petition to the Immigration Department and the Police in Kathmandu demanding action against Ravi Lamichhane in the case of taking a Nepali passport before renouncing his US citizenship, but both agencies refused to register the petition.
