Kathmandu: Eleven months after the outbreak, the number of corona infections in Siraha has dropped to zero. District Administration Office of Siraha informed that the number of corona infections in Siraha has dropped to zero till Friday.
According to the office, in the last few days, all the quarantines and isolations in the district have been vacated as there is not a single suspect and infected person left.
Of the 12,450 swabs tested in the district so far, 10,802 were negative and 1,648 were positive. Chief of the District Health Office, Siraha, Krishna Dev Yadav said that 25 of them had died.
In the first phase, 3,930 people were vaccinated against corona, but so far 3,287 people have been vaccinated, said Chief Yadav. Chief Yadav urged all to meet the health safety standards as the risk of corona infection in the district has dropped to zero.
