Corona infection confirmed in man who died at Dhulikhel Hospital

Kathmandu (Rashtriya Samachar Samiti): A man from Dolakha has died at Dhulikhel Hospital due to pneumonia. A 62-year-old man who died on Thursday while undergoing treatment was diagnosed with Covid-19.

The man, a resident of Bigu village in Dolakha, was admitted to Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavrepalanchok on Wednesday night for treatment of pneumonia and died on Thursday afternoon.

Dr. Sanukrishna Shrestha, head of the emergency department of the hospital, said that a positive report was received after the corona test. The hospital has stated that the service of the hospital has been continued by adopting additional safety measures. After the death, the body of the man who was confirmed as Corona has been buried by the Nepal Army team.

Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Command Post in the district has urged the hospital to provide services by adopting additional security measures. Dr. Narendra Jha, Member Secretary of the Post and Chief of the District Health Office, said that the locals have been urged to take precaution in the area including the hospital.

According to the Post, there have been 3,375 corona infections in Kavrepalanchok so far. So far, 45 people, including 14 women in the district, have died from the corona infection. Seven of the infected are being treated in home isolation while others have been cured. According to the Post, 23,635 people have been vaccinated against Kovid in the district so far.
