Congress’s clean sweep in Mustang

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has made a ‘clean sweep’ in Mustang by winning one seat for member of the House of Representatives and two seat for members of the Provincial Assembly.

Congress’s Yogesh Gauchan Thakali has won as a member of the House of Representatives. He defeated CPN UML’s Prem Prasad Tulachan by a margin of 914 votes.

Yogesh got 3,992 votes while Prem Prasad got 3,078 votes. Sudesh Gurung of Rashtriya Swatantra Party got 87 votes while Pravin Kumar Sherchan of RPP got 13 votes.

Congress candidate has also won in both the provincial assembly seats of Mustang. Namdu Gurung won in province assembly (1) and Bikal Sherchan won in provincial assembly (2).
