Kathmandu: In a shift of weather across the country today, some places are experiencing light rainfall and snowfall. In Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur, as well as in certain other locations, there has been a presence of light drizzles. Similarly, in Gandaki Province, including Gorakha and Kaski, there has been light rainfall accompanied by snowfall.
The Himalayan regions in the Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces have reported snowfall, according to the water and weather forecast by the Meteorological Department.
Additionally, sporadic rainfall has been reported in other areas as well. There is a possibility of light rainfall in the eastern part of the country tonight, as stated by Shanti Kandel, a meteorologist from the Meteorological Department. The weather is expected to gradually improve from the western region of the country.
Authorities are urging caution due to the increase in cold temperatures. Moreover, the adverse weather conditions have impacted international flights departing from Kathmandu.
