Calibration flight completes at Pokhara International Airport

Kathmandu: The ‘Calibration Flight’ of Pokhara Regional International Airport has been completed.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the aircraft will stay in Nepal till December 5. A regular test flight to check the equipment of the domestic airport is going to take place from this aircraft.

According to the authority, they will give the report of the mechanical capability test flight at the airport in the next three weeks.

It will take 20/21 days to arrive such a report. If the report gives the report that the airport is suitable for commercial flight, commercial test flight will be conducted at Pokhara International Airport.

If the test is successful, the airlines will be able to fly regularly. The authority will call the companies to fly to the airport after the report of the mechanical test flight.

The Government of Nepal has announced that the Pokhara Regional International Airport will be operational from January 1, 2023.
