Kathmandu: Bir Hospital has started the National Brain Tumor Center today.
On the occasion of Brain Tumor Day on Thursday, Vice Chancellor of the National Academy of Medical Sciences Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Basnet inaugurated the center. The center will provide free surgery a week starting today.
Hospital Director Dr. Santosh Paudel said that along with the brain tumor center, other specific services will also be added.
At present, there are 6 neurosurgeons in Bir Hospital. Bir Hospital has started the National Brain Tumor Center in the New building of the hospital.
