Big hospitals are mandatory to send specialist services to district hospitals

Kathmandu: Medical colleges and health science institutes across the country are going to provide compulsory specialist surgery services in one of the districts.

The Ministry of Health and Population has already signed agreements with some medical colleges for this service.

According to Article 20 of the National Medical Act 2075 BS and Article 40 of the National Medical Education Regulations, an agreement has been started with the medical colleges and institutes to provide specialist surgical services in the district hospital.

At least one surgeon, one obstetrician and gynecologist and one anesthesiologist and anesthesia assistant will visit the medical colleges and institutes of the district.

From the district hospital, patients receive services such as surgery, surgery, counseling, and obstetrics and gynecology services, as well as complex pregnancy services and counseling, by arranging diagnosis and treatment.
